Our Stories

Some memories are too familiar to forget. So we decided to wear them.

The Rehva turns everyday Indian memories into clothing — chai stalls, rooftops, summer afternoons, old radios, laltains, cycles, postcards, neighbourhood shops and the little details that made growing up feel slower.

The Reason

Why We Make These Stories

Life moves faster every year. The places we grew up in change hands, the objects get replaced, and the people who taught us to notice them aren't always around to remind us.

Nostalgia isn't a mood board to us — it's a record. A chai stall, a lantern, a postcard, a cycle left outside a gate: small, specific, ordinary things that quietly held an entire way of living.

We can't keep the places. We can keep the memory of them close enough to wear — so it travels with you instead of staying behind.

Clothing, carrying memory forward.

Deep, Founder of The Rehva, by a Himalayan lake

Where Our Story Began

I started "theRehva" because fashion is crowded, but meaning is rare. Every trend fades — but the memory of a chai-stall evening, a paper boat in the rain, a lantern lit through a power cut, doesn't.

So we decided every piece we make should carry one of those memories, not just a print. Each Chapter starts as something real before it ever becomes a T-shirt — that's the story we want you to wear.

Turning Memory Into Design

When Deep shared his vision for "theRehva", an Indian lifestyle clothing brand inspired by 80s and 90s nostalgia, I wanted to translate those everyday memories into meaningful designs. Though not from a design background, I spent hours experimenting to capture those chai ki tapri conversations, rainy afternoons, paper boats, and slow Sundays into wearable stories.

Two People, One Memory

theRehva only exists because two very different people — one who lived the memories, one who could draw them — decided the same chai-stall evenings and slow Sundays were worth keeping. Everything since has just been the two of us, turning that shared memory into something you can wear.

Printed and Checked, Piece by Piece

Every Chapter is printed in-house on our DTF line, then checked by hand — colour, placement, wash — before it's approved to become a T-shirt. This is that room.

Stories We Wear.

Because some parts of India aren't places. They're feelings we carry with us.
